Antionette “Nette” Pridgen was born on July 18, 1964, in Elizabeth, NJ to Evelyn and Alfred.
She graduated from the Elizabeth school system with honors in 1982. She then moved on to pursue a degree in the medical field. While working to put herself through college, Nette gained her master’s degree in nursing and graduated from Seton Hall University with honors. By this time, Nette had a great reputation as an intelligent, hard working woman and was affectionately known by her co-workers as Toni.
It was her tender compassion that made her a cherished daughter, sister, mother/God mother, auntie, cousin, niece, and friend to so many people over the years.
Nette had her own way of doing things. For example, with a single conversation she would have just enough time to both tell you off and encourage you. No matter the disagreement, at the end of a matter, she loved you just the same.
Antionette was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Luther and Vera Pridgen, her father, Jesse Lampley and her Goddaughter LaTasha Garris.
She leaves to cherish her memory her mother Evelyn, brothers: Eric, Cornelius (Tia) and Jerome; her sister: Lisa; a great aunt, Wilhelmina; great uncles, James, Will and Rodger; an uncle, Chester (Barbara); aunts Sarah and Vera (Mike); nieces Marie, LaToya (Ty), LaTizia, LaQuia, LaJada, Aliyah, Angel and Autumn; nephews, Ermon, Lamar, Laquan and a great nephew Windell Jr. God children Vernon, Jessica, Iesha and Anthony Jr.
Nette also had three great nieces that she raised as her own daughters, India, Ayzia and Kayonah and one great great nephew (grandson) Za’rell.
