Darell Lowe Obituary

Darell Lowe, 53 of Apopka, Florida, passed away on February 21, 2024 at Kindred Hospital in Rahway New Jersey.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 2pm to 4pm at The Grand Banquet Hall 12 N. Stiles Street Linden, NJ  Arrangements are in the loving care of the Nesbitt Funeral Home 165 Madison Avenue Elizabeth, NJ.

Darell was born on February 9, 1971 in Elizabeth New Jersey. He excelled at Elizabeth High School playing football. His continued football journey through Ramapo College in New Jersey and Nassau Community College in New York shaped his path to serving in the New Jersey Juvenile Justice System. There he discovered his true passion for helping, mentoring and guiding adolescents through his work experiences. Darell’s entrepreneurial spirit and pursuit of a healthier lifestyle later led to turning two of his passions into successful businesses. One of these businesses involved his love for photography, which Darell had a great passion for. Darell was cherished by his family and friends, for his compassion, commitment, kind-hearted nature and caring spirit. Darell exemplified love and devotion to his loved ones. Darell was predeceased by his father Darryl Thomas Sr.; his uncle Tyrin “Muta” Richard Thomas; and his aunt Donna Lowe-Alexander. He is survived by his wife Vanessa Lowe; children Sharell Thompson-Lowe (Malissa Thompson-Lowe) and Jordan Lowe; mother Denise Lowe; grandmother Marie Lowe; brothers Darryl Thomas Jr. (Cassandra Thomas), Jason Smith, Xavier Saxon; sister Sheneequa Thomas; and countless cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Darell’s life was well-loved and his legacy will continue to inspire.
