Darrin Eugene Lipscomb Sr.

Darrin Eugene Lipscomb Sr. was born to the union of James and Lenora Lipscomb of Elizabeth, NJ. Darrin attended Elizabeth Public Schools and as a child excelled in many subjects. He had a stellar memory and could often recall detailed facts and information. He lived most of his life in Elizabeth and Roselle and truly loved his family. He worked in various warehouse jobs and for the last eight years, found his home as a proud dedicated employee of Wakefern Food Corp.

Darrin was also a lover of music and more specifically loved the group Parliament Funkadelic. In his mind, he thought of himself as a member of the band. He would often call or text family members singing or quoting a song and would find joy in doing so. Darrin loved connecting with family and friends and had a great sense of humor. If you ever ran into him, it was always love and laughs involved. He was always making jokes which could make you laugh in a matter of seconds. He overcame many obstacles in life and continued to move forward not letting anything stand in his way. His proudest achievements were his children and he loved taking care of his family. He was also a proud grandfather and loved his grandchildren deeply.

Darrin was preceded in death by his father James Larry Lipscomb Sr., sister Joanne Williams and daughter Brittany Lipscomb. He leaves behind to cherish his memory: a loving mother Lenora Lipscomb of NJ, his Children, Tanisha Benjamin-Belin (Edward Belin) of NC, Taniqua Benjamin of NC, Darrin Lipscomb Jr. of Texas, and Brianna Lipscomb of SC, his siblings James Larry Lipscomb Jr. of NJ, Stacey Lipscomb (DeVonta Williams) of NJ, Vanessa Lowe (Darell Lowe) of FL and brother, Kyle Lipscomb (Tawanna Lipscomb) of NJ, seven grandchildren, 3 nephews and 1 niece as well as a host of cousins who will all miss him dearly.
