Germaine Castre

Germaine Castre was born in 1938 in Haiti, from the union between Otè Guervil Castre and Cecilia Lavilette. Germaine was the youngest daughter of 11 children. She spent her early adult life in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. In the early 1970s, she emigrated to the United States where she eventually obtained her GED and her professional degree as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She was a hardworking woman who often reflected on the good-old-days of living her life in Haiti. She is survived by her four children, eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
