With great sadness, the Baltimore family regrets to announce the passing of our beloved Lawrence “Big Larry” Baltimore at age 58. His smile, sense of humor, sense of family, and joy will greatly be missed and always cherished. Big Larry is survived by four (4) children, five (5) grandchildren, his mother, and two (2) siblings.
On September 15, 2021 at 7:14 am, Big Larry took his final breath in Robert Woods Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick with the causes of death mainly being heart failure and cancer.
Big Larry attended the Elizabeth Public School system in New Jersey, briefly furthered his education at Tuskegee Institute in Montgomery, AL before returning back to New Jersey, and finished with Bible College at Morning Star CCC. He was also a member of the Groove Phi Groove fraternity.
Big Larry stressed the importance of family and is predeceased by his father Simon S. I. Davis Jr. and is survived by his mother Pauline “Bunny” Baltimore. Son and daughter-in-law Lawrence K. Baltimore & Shari Gomes-Baltimore – granddaughter Mariah and grandsons Lawrence & Alano; son and daughter-in-law Malcolm Baltimore & Lakeyah Harris-Baltimore – grandson Bryce and granddaughter Aubrey; son Nile Baltimore (mother: Audrey Kelly); and daughter Amayah Green (mother: Tyesha Green). In addition to his children and grandchildren, Big Larry was also survived by his sister Robin Brown & brother-in-law Charles Brown with their 5 children (Raymond, Eric, Terrance, Jami, Alaina), brother Duane Baltimore with his son (Bishop), maternal aunts Frances Wortman and Eva Aulston, paternal aunt Merenda Clark, 1st cousins Anita, Butch, Joey (more like his brother) & John, best friends (more like brothers) Jerome & John and the rest of the Jones family, a host of other cousins, great nieces and nephews, an abundance of friends, acquaintances, Groove Phi Groove brothers, and past co-workers.
Big Larry loved sports, cooking, watching movies (especially old school cowboy and martial arts films). Big Larry loved to laugh and spent a good amount of time telling the funniest stories with his family and friends. He will be severely missed.
