Madelyn Rambert affectionately known as “Matt” was called to rest with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 2, 2021. Madelyn was born in Chinquapin, North Carolina on March 14, 1937 to the late Luther J. Stokes and Flossie Stokes. Madelyn was employed by Tecknit Inc. in Cranford, New Jersey before retiring at the age of 65. She was a faithful member of the Progressive Baptist Church in Rahway, New Jersey. Madelyn enjoyed spending time with her family especially on holidays and special celebrations. And one of her favorite hobbies was visiting and playing at various casinos.
Madelyn is predeceased by her husband Lawrence Rambert. She is survived by her daughter Satonya Rambert of Pennsylvania, son Kenneth Rambert of New Jersey, and daughter Anita Stokes of North Carolina. She leaves loving grandchildren Ebony Haynes, Jasmine Oliver, and Faith Rambert all of New Jersey to cherish her memory. Additionally, one brother Alfred Stokes (Verna) of North Carolina; along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and good friends who will remember her with great love.
