Marie Lucna Desrivieres

Marie Lucna Desrivieres, age 59, of Irvington,NJ passed away suddenly on Tuesday,December 21,2021.


Marie Lucna Desrivieres was born July 5,1962 in Port-Au- Prince Haiti the union of  Altagrace Francis Desrivieres and Joseph Desriveres.

Marie was the eldest of five children. She spent the first half of her life in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Marie attended Collège Vision Moderne while in Haiti.  In the early 1970's she had the opportunity to leave Haiti and migrated to US made Miami, Florida he first stomping ground.

She received the rest of her education at Lindsey Hopkings technical school in Miami and then spent most of her young adulthood in Miami Dade area. There she meet the late Jean Jacques her longtime companion. They both relocated to state of New Jersey for a better life in 1990. They raised their three children in New Jersey made it their home. Jean Jacques entered into rest on December 8,2004.

Marie was wonderful sister, mother,grandmother, aunt,niece, cousin,friend and close confidant to many. She worked hard to support her younger siblings in Haiti and her three children.

She often enjoyed family gatherings, loved to smile. Marie was very quiet person and her greatest joy was spending time with grandchildren and catching up with family while chatting on the phone. She was beautiful person inside and out and will be greatly missed.

Marie is survived by her three children Stanley Jacques,Franeska Jacques, Johnny Jacques
her grandchildren Nevaeh S. Ellis,Lamar R.Ellis, Siyazja M. Jacques.
Her brothers Jean Marie Derivieres, Reginald Derivieres, Aunt Francine Francis, Uncle Aris Francis  Her Niece, Nephews and devoted cousin as well as other friends and families in Haiti (Port-au-prince,
