Robert D. Bellamy

Robert D. Bellamy son of the late Mr. Corrie F. Bellamy, Sr. and Ethel Sherman Bellamy was born June 27,1949 in Conway, South Carolina. He departed this life on January 20, 2022, at his home in Newark, New Jersey.

Robert, at an early age, was an active member of the Saint James AME Church in Conway, S.C, He was educated in the Horry County public school system. He later attended Denmark Technical College, in Denmark, South Carolina where he studied to be an electrician.

Robert later relocated to Newark, N. J. where he met his common-law wife and the love of his life Ollie Mae Josey. Together they raised two children, a son Saladine and a daughter Denise.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his common-law wife Ollie Mae, and his brother Mr. Corrie F. Bellamy Jr. He leaves to cherish his memories, two brothers Kenneth (Cheryl), of So. Orange, New Jersey, Thomas (Linda) of Amityville, New York, one sister Ann Bellamy Grissett of Conway, So. Carolina, two children Denise Josey (fiancé Abdul Taylor) of Newark, New Jersey,  Saladine (Latanya) Josey of Powder Springs, Georgia, eight grandchildren: Shaheed Hall, Ashialee Robinson, Bianca Josey, Jasmine Robinson, Kaylee Robinson, Sadale Paden, Nazir Morris, Tiara Bowers, six great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
